Set Up Your Daycare Information
Let's start by adding your daycare's basic information. This helps personalize the experience and ensures compliance features work correctly.
Required Information:
- Daycare center name and address
- Contact phone number and email
- License number (if applicable)
- Operating hours and days
- Maximum capacity and age groups
Add Your Staff Members
Invite your team members to join Little Nest. Each staff member gets their own login and can be assigned specific permissions based on their role.
Administrator
Full access to all features, settings, and reports
Teacher/Caregiver
Access to assigned children, daily activities, and parent communication
Assistant
Basic access to attendance and activity logging
Tip: Start with just yourself and add other staff members gradually. You can always modify permissions later.
Add Children and Parents
This is where Little Nest really shines. Add each child's information and automatically invite parents to access their child's daily updates.
For Each Child, You'll Need:
Basic Information
- Full name and birthdate
- Photo (optional but recommended)
- Room/group assignment
Parent/Guardian Contacts
- Primary and secondary contacts
- Email addresses for app access
- Emergency contact information
Medical & Dietary Info
- Allergies and dietary restrictions
- Medical conditions or special needs
- Medication schedules (if any)
Automatic Parent Invitations: When you add a child, parents automatically receive email invitations to download the Little Nest parent app and access their child's information.
Download the Mobile Apps
Little Nest works best on mobile devices. Download the apps for your staff and share the parent app information with families.

Parents automatically receive download links when you add their children. You can also share these links directly:
Works Offline: The mobile app works even without internet connection. All data syncs automatically when you're back online.
